ETERNITY
Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java.
This life is but a vapor:
A fleeting whisp'ring note.
On the winds of eternity,
Naught but a wisp of smoke
Born exquisitely unique,
We journey down life's path,
Body, soul and spirit,
Tossed about like chaff.
We're born. We grow. Some learn to love.
Some hate. Some hurt. We grieve.
And Oh! Some hearts are weary,
When it's time this world to leave.
And then? And then? The grave!
The end? Some would tell you so.
Could there be more? Dare we explore,
Where ere' our souls might go?
From birth, within each mortal lies,
An embryonic yearning,
Pulling, tugging at the soul,
An aching, empty burning.
Whence comes this yawning emptiness?
This void at birth unfilled?
'Tis a spirit longing for it's God!
Suppressed by human will.
Many seek fulfillment,
In fame, or power, or greed,
Or wealth and great possessions,
With an endless driving "need".
But lately; Ah, the hopelessness,
As "New Age" occultist fads,
Quoting "peace" and "light" and "unity",
Court a world gone truly mad!
Witches, cults and covens,
Are studied in our schools.
While prayer is made illegal, and...
They've invoked the "condom rule".
"Oh that's THEM!". "We don't agree!"
"It's gotten out of hand!"
"We're going to take our country back!"
"We're going to take a stand!"
Such noble thoughts. Such righteous words.
And where does one find such power?
Where else to turn but a loving God,
In the darkness of this hour?
Two supernatural forces, friend,
Want our eternal soul.
One Divine and Holy,
One evil, mean and foul!
The One Divine and Holy,
Waits for us to let Him in.
But the evil one will lie and cheat,
Whatever it takes to win.
All the devil has to do to win,
Is to keep us occupied,
With all the pressures of this life,
Till we've breathed our last.....and died.
"Serving the devil by default",
Is the thing that most will do,
As they strive each day to be their best,
Just hoping to pull through.
Oh, you say you lead a "good life"?
Well, Satan thinks that's great!
For he knows so well that we alone,
Can never clean the slate.
The Bible says we're lost at birth.
Not some. Not most, but ALL!
A Holy God made Paradise.
Adam took a fall.
But a God of Love, sent His only Son,
A sacrifice Divine.
Who suffered, died and rose again.
He paid your debt and mine.
The gates of Heaven He opened,
That all might enter in,
Who will put their trust in Jesus Christ,
To set them free from sin.
When we decide to follow Jesus,
It's not just heaven, my friend,
But peace and joy unspeakable!
Right here! Right now! No end!
He won't force Himself upon you.
The choice is yours alone;
The eternal joy of heaven,
Or hell, with your heart of stone.
Oh, you're not quite ready?
Tho' you understand it's true?
You'll just wait a little while?
Still have some "things" to do?
Well think on this my busy friend.
Will there be time at death?
At that one final heartbeat?
That one.., last..., gasping breath?
Will you gaze in eternal torment
O'er an abyss that none can cross,
At heaven and all its glory,
To you, forever lost?
