SUNSET

A wondrous sunset,
As good as it gets,
A beautiful moment,
From my memory I will not omit,
Perched on the tree tops,
For just a moment it makes me stop,
For its splendor I want to see,
Wishing someone could share it with me.
The colors in the sky are so bright,
Oh my, what a glorious sight,
Red, orange, pink and blue
Makes you feel as if its just for you.
Slowly it disappears behind the tree line
This memory is all mine.
To cherish, hold and keep
I wonder, will I see it in my sleep?
To myself I think
Can a sunset be put in ink?
No is my reply
On our eyes we must rely.
Just a moment is all we need
to plant that little seed
To make everyone stop
And take notice of the tree top
Where the sun takes a rest
After it has done its best
To make our day happy and bright
And filled our lives with light
This is to show how much I care
This sunset I wish to share.
