MY DEEPEST
SYMPATHY

I
know the feeling being all alone
even when there are people all around.
I
know the feeling of emptiness, that
surrounds you at a time like this.
I
know the feeling of wanting to be alone, but
needing to have people around you
at the same time.
I know the feeling of despair, when nothing is comforting.
I
know the feeling of anger that this person
did not live long enough for you to
see one more time.
The feeling that you have been aware of
but suppressed
deep within.
The feeling you get when someone says,
Is there anything I can
do, or
If you need anything call me.
When the whole time you are thinking,
the
only thing anyone can do is bring him back,
but knowing this is totally unrealistic.
I
know the feeling of sadness, knowing you
have lost someone you love, and will
not
see them again until you meet them
in the great beyond.
I know
that there is no right or wrong way to grieve.
Each person must do this in their
own way,
and take as long as necessary to work through
this roller coaster
of emotions.
I know there is nothing to be said or done.
If you need a
hug, or
just someone to sit with in the quiet,
I’ll be there.
I love
you, my heart is with you.
